1. How do I know that the photographer at our event will get the important shots?

A: We understand how important your event is to you. By following our ZooM system, we ensure we get a fully comprehensive brief for each shoot, every time. This information is then passed on to your photographer who will go through your brief again with you at the venue to ensure nothing has changed. Also, our photographers are extremely flexible, so please feel free to request particular photos at anytime during the shoot.

2. Will my photographer arrive on time?

A: All ZooM photographers must complete a tough in-housel training course before they qualify to shoot for us. Besides great picture quality, huge emphasis is placed on being professional, which includes personal conduct, dress code, and time keeping. All our photographers are briefed to be at the venue half an hour before the shoot starts.

3. How do I get the most marketing mileage out of my event from a Photographic perspective?

A: ZooM offers free consultations before your event. At this time we will discuss your theme and how it ties into your marketing strategy, and then agree on which of our innovative products suits your event best. Thereafter, our design department will work on some samples for you, and after final adjustments we’re ready to rock and roll.
New products include customised diaries, notebooks, and fridge magnets delivered to the event; customised video invites for each delegate before the event; green screen; and cellular phone technology. Call us to chat about any of these.

4. What happens if there is an equipment failure at the shoot.

A:  ZooM is not an individual photographer but an organisation designed to specifically service Event Organisers. Because of this specialisation, we understand that sometimes things don’t go according to plan, but with each shoot we do we have backup equipment and photographers who are able to stand in should anything go wrong. Our philosophy is that we will always deliver what we promised at your event.
EG: Blackberry, Monte Casino, printing on site directly from Blackberry Phones.
Problem: Editor discovered that the printer did not print during the setup and testing phase before the event.
Solution: 25 minutes later a new printer had arrived and the printing of pictures was back on schedule.

5. Can ZooM do an event in Cape Town or Durban?

A: ZooM has branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, as well a photographers in almost every town in South Africa. We have done shoots for clients in Kuruman, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Kimberly, and Nelspruit, to mention a few.

6. What if I have forgotten to book a photographer for an event with hours to spare?

A: ZooM has a central logistics office which operates around the clock to help you. Please call us on any one of the numbers below if you have an emergency, and we will do our utmost to find a photographer for you.

7. How many couples can you photograph and print photos of before they leave the event?

A: No shoot is too big or too small. Being experts in the event photography field, each shoot is planned to the second, especially where large pax are involved. Our crews have all been trained and have lots of experience at these types of events, enabling us to operate smoothly and deliver on time, every time. Book ZooM and be relaxed.
EG1: Bidvest Annual Awards Dinner, Sandton Convention Centre, 500 couples, 2.5 hrs to shoot, print and place into frames.
EG2: Supersport Confederation Cup Trophy shoot, 550 pax (individual shots with trophy), 1.8hrs to shoot and print.

8. Will you photograph the décor and venue setup?

A: At ZooM we understand how much work is involved in organising and running an event. It’s our pleasure to capture all your hard work, such as the venue set-up, menus, table settings, registration tables,  etc., before the crowds arrive. This is all included as part of our ZooM magic service to you, and boy, those pics are going to make you look good!

9. Distributing the pictures after an event is a nightmare, what do you suggest?

A: There are many options available to Event Organisers, such as:
•    our wide range of on-site products (pictures, fridge magnets, magazines, DVDs etc.);
•    giving each person a DVD with the images on it;
•    loading the images onto a client’s or our website within 24 hours;
•    posting your videos on You Tube; and
•    MMS distribution through cell phones.
