When customers can’t taste your food, your photography has to do the selling.

Professional food photography is about far more than making a meal look appealing. It communicates quality, freshness and attention to detail while helping customers build confidence in your brand before they place an order.

ZooM Photography & Video Production was commissioned by PelePele Marketing to create a new collection of food photography for their client, InstaChef, a business specialising in healthy, ready-made meals prepared using quality ingredients and free from preservatives, stabilisers and MSG.

The images would form part of a website refresh and create a stronger visual identity across the brand’s marketing material.

Their Request:

The client required a professional collection of food photography that accurately reflected the quality and freshness of the InstaChef product range.

Approximately 35 different meals needed to be photographed in a single day, with each dish styled to highlight colour, texture and presentation. In addition to the finished meals, the client also wanted behind-the-scenes photographs of the chef preparing the food to help communicate the care, craftsmanship and passion behind the brand.

The completed image library needed to be suitable for website banners, product pages, social media, brochures and future marketing campaigns.

Our Solution:

ZooM assigned General Manager and experienced commercial photographer Chantal Robertson to lead the project.

Before the cooking began, Chantal arrived on-site to assess the available light, identify the best preparation areas and create a mobile photography studio using professional lighting equipment. Careful planning ensured every meal could be photographed consistently as it was prepared, maintaining the highest possible quality throughout the shoot.

Each dish was carefully styled and photographed from multiple angles to showcase its ingredients, freshness and visual appeal. Particular attention was given to lighting, composition and colour accuracy so that every meal looked natural, vibrant and appetising.

Once the shoot was complete, every image was professionally edited and delivered in line with the client’s website launch schedule.

The Results:

The final photography collection gave InstaChef a professional image library that reflected the premium quality of its products and strengthened the visual identity of the brand.

The new imagery transformed the look of the company’s website, helping visitors better understand the quality, freshness and care that goes into every meal.

PelePele Marketing was delighted with the outcome, and the success of the project reinforced ZooM’s reputation for producing commercial photography that supports both branding and marketing objectives.
